It is less than 2 kilometres from Haria, the main centre of the municipality. Haria has an Ayuntamiento, and Saturday market. Maguez is surrounded by worked fields and mountains, and is only 5 kilometres from lovely Arrieta beach. Fantastic fish restaurants on the coast, and meat restaurants inland are all readily available. Life here is traditional, simple, and relaxed.
